Rc loot council classic4/18/2023 You need people on your LC that are serious theorycrafters on each class and roll. It should be "we got 3 shoulder tokens in a row so we rearranged tier tokens to get set bonuses faster." It shouldn't be "player X complains a lot to us in DMs so we prio'd X". When you make adjustments, post what you changed and why. So here's specific advice instead: Post a Google Sheets of all the loot and who is getting each piece in what order ahead of time. People like to post the word "transparency" on reddit when discussing LC but never give specific advice. Springing a loot system change on players suddenly is a SUPER bad idea, and I wouldn't be surprised if half your guild walks over that, as they should. You should be giving people like 2 months heads up so they can spend their DKP down and also recruit to fill the people who leave. Consider what other guilds are constantly spamming to recruit and how strongly you feel those players are likely to stay.Īnd not sure what you timeline is, but it's way late to be telling people about switching loot systems for P2. for my realm, warlocks and holy paladins are always in demand. You'll lose the classes that are the hardest to recruit first, because there is demand for them and they can just click accept on another guild invite. People will leave when you switch loot systems no matter how well you handle it or how much heads up you give, I guarantee it. Platitudes of "we're gunna be fair and transparent" will not land for them, they simply won't care. LC is difficult to run fairly and effectively, and many players will have had negative experiences in the past. A big reason people join guilds is often for the loot system itself. Switching loot systems is usually a serious challenge for a guild.
